Wildlife Week (2-8 Oct'14): Celebrate India's Wildlife

 
Wildlife Week is celebrated all over the country in the month of October from 2 to 8 October every year with the view to preserve the fauna means the animal life of the India. It was first started in the year 1952 with the great vision of saving the life of the Indian animals by taking some critical steps. It involves the planning to save animal extinction of any species of the India. The Indian Government has established an Indian Board of Wild Life which works to improve the awareness as well as the consciousness of the Indian people towards the wildlife preservation.
Celebrating this unique week under CSR will be worthwhile activity as it connects with National and International environmental frameworks. Here is how you could celebrate this unique week.

Outdoor Activities
  1. Plan a visit to your closet National Park or Sanctuary
  2. Hold a photography/painting competition
  3. Volunteer at your local park in habitat restoration works
  4. Plan a visit to your local environmental organization working that is working on wildlife
  5. Spend one day with a scientist and understand how it is to be a scientist.
  6. Participate in activities hosted by wildlife institutions.

Indoor/Online Activities
1. Arrange a wildlife expert talk for your team.
2. Change your Facebook Page banner to an endangered wildlife other than tiger and write a brief about that animal
3. Send an emailer to all your network and let them know about Wildlife Week
4. Share wildlife pictures on intranet or social media
5. Pledge online for wildlife support on websites that are seeking for pledges
6. Go and like a Facebook page of national park or sanctuary.
7. Learn about the national and international environmental frameworks.
